Tonight everyone came over for Christmas Eve potluck, which was yummy. Seventeen of us at the table, one in the high chair, and one on a lap. What a crowd! Nine adults and 10 children.
It snowed earlier in the week and has been cold, so at least there is snow on the ground. Sort of a white Christmas. But I love this time of year and enjoy all of the festivities. I have been so busy the last 2 months that I hardly enjoyed the anticipation of it, but that's OK. Next Christmas will come even faster than this one did!

A quote from the book "Comrade Nelson Mandela" sums up the reality rather well:

And why should we care about anything from the book "Comrade Nelson Mandela"? It doesn't seem to be any sort of source that I would waste time on because it doesn't appear to be by anyone credible using reliable sources. Maybe you can give us more information so we might actually care about someone's opinion.
ReplyDeleteAll sources and History are made up anyway... Believe who and what you want to believe and just keep your eye focused on the gospel and the rest of the clutter in life doesn't matter.

Kevin, you're sort of right, in the sense that everybody has an agenda, conscious or unconscious, as well as a perspective and thus an innate bias of some kind. That doesn't mean that it's "made up". My point is that "one need not be perfect to be an instrument in God's hands; nor is it necessary that I agree with all of his or her ideas or values to recognize the good works that are done."

P.S. I would also recommend reading posts carefully, to avoid making accusations of assertions that are nowhere to be found in the relevant post. That practice can significantly enhance the relevancy of responses, and avoid embarrassing non sequiturs.
